On July 13th, 2010 at 6:30 AM we left Richwoods Christian Church and headed towards Wilmar, MN. Where the 2010 Sonshine Festival would start on July 14th and end on the 17th.
After a 12 hour drive we arrived at Wilmar High School where we would be staying for the next few days. At the music festival we saw a whole bunch of different Christian bands. It was amazing, my favorites were David Crowder Band, Skillet, and Family Force 5. At the music festival our uth group grew very close, did grew devotionals, and overall we all became great friends i love them all! The whole music festival was very inspirational and unexpected, but the last night we had a very crazy storm. This storm was crazy it came on very fast, there were 65 mph winds, and funnel clouds, which pushed us in the school. Which turned out to be a time of prayer and hoping. That night we set camp back up and had ana amazing last night. The next morning we had devotions and packed up and heading to Minneapolis,MN. On our way we stopped at the Mall of America and got to spend some time hanging out there. Then we heading to Calvary Luthern Church which was our home for the next week and where Week of Hope 2010 took place. Here we got to meet and hang out with 3 other churches for the week. Everyday we went to our work site worked on our projects, my crews was playing with kids which is right up my alley. =) Then we went back to the church had worship time and devotions. It was a great with the turned out alot different then I had thought it would going into it. I went into to the whole trip just thinking it was going to be nothing, and left knowing the God has a specific plan and purpose for my life and he is going to lead me where i need to go if i let him. I came out of the trip as a whole feeling less confused with my life, letting go of the past, and ready to head into the future! So glad i went.
